ÉÙ¸¾×ÔÅÄ

In June 2024, members of the ÉÙ¸¾×ÔÅÄ Board of Directors embarked on a significant Mission to Italy, focusing on Friuli Venezia Giulia, ÉÙ¸¾×ÔÅÄ’s 2024 Region of Honor. The trip featured key engagements that strengthened ties between Italy and the United States. A highlight was the meeting with President Massimiliano Fedriga in Trieste, where he officially welcomed ÉÙ¸¾×ÔÅÄ and emphasized the importance of fostering transatlantic connections across various sectors.

The delegation also paid their respects at the Redipuglia War Memorial, laying a wreath to honor over 100,000 Italian soldiers who perished in World War I. This poignant moment underscored the deep historical ties between the two nations.

The mission exemplified the Region of Honor program’s goals of engaging institutions, businesses, and citizens – particularly youth – on both sides of the Atlantic, promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding. Through these activities, ÉÙ¸¾×ÔÅÄ continues to play a crucial role in strengthening the bonds between Italy and the Italian American community.
